KarinKarin Hoyle (author K. B. Hoyle) has over fifteen years of experience in the publishing industry and is the author of multiple books and series of books for teens and adolescents. In the writing industry, she has also been a columnist, creative writing instructor, public speaker, and more. She has been agented, and is a sought-after voice in the areas of storytelling and culture: judging for book awards, editing for fellow authors, and offering consulting and advice to peers in the industry.
At Owl's Nest, Karin is the CEO, Acquisitions Editor, and Creative Director. She is also one of our Teen and Middle Grade authors (under the pseudonym K. B. Hoyle). Beth AnneBeth Anne Dunphy has over fifteen years of social media experience from blogging, book reviewing, and various forms of marketing engagement. Beth Anne is a trusted book reviewer and promoter in the Bookstagram community of Instagram, actively engaging in book conversations with authors, librarians, publishing professionals, and other book reviewers. A mom of five and graduate of Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, she has led homeschool groups in a number of settings, including teaching a variety of literature and writing classes. She loves black coffee, mystery books, and all things Star Wars.

LindseyLindsey Pearce has a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in professional writing from the University of North Alabama. She has extensive experience with remote work environments and in customer care—especially for small and growing businesses. She is excited to be part of the Owl’s Nest team. She lives in North Alabama with her husband and three children.

AllyAlly Castaldo is a lifelong lover of books and of writing. Most of her childhood years were spent writing stories in her free time. She has a BS in Childhood Psychology and has also studied Biblical Counseling. In the past decade, Ally has been the Development Director of a local non-profit and has worked in youth and college ministry. She is excited to be working with Owl's Nest!

Elizabeth
Elizabeth Hance has loved books and the written word for as long as she can remember. She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in communications and now works in publishing while freelance writing and working on a Master's of Arts in Writing from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in Washington, D.C. in a thriving community that she loves to bring together around good books, poetry, theology, tea, and beauty. Carol
With degrees in art and design, Carol Foust is a Jill of All Trades. She is an avid reader and audiobook listener, and her experience ranges from Girl Scout troop leader to special needs caregiver to after school and pre-school teacher. She splits her time between Alabama, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, where she acts as part-time associate and on-site assistant to CEO Karin.

Liz
Liz Garn is a voice-over artist and audiobook narrator who specializes in a warm, “coming-home” tone that lets the author’s story shine. As a longtime member of the publishing community, she has also been a columnist, staff writer, literary award panelist, and is a published author. Liz is a DC area native who lives there with her husband, three nerdy kids, and one aggressively affectionate yellow lab. When not telling stories, she’s reading everything she can get her hands on, playing D&D, and picking up Legos from the living room floor.

Olivia
Olivia Pugh is an Alabama native, currently making her home in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband and four children. She studied graphic design at Auburn University and enjoys all things creative—dabbling in watercolor, hand lettering, landscaping, and interior design. She loves beauty and story and is excited to play her role in the Owl’s Nest community.

Lisa
Lisa Varner has always loved reading and books. With twenty-five years of experience as a high school English teacher, a home educator, and a book club leader, it has become her passion to encourage others to discover the gift of great books. She is thrilled to be a part of the mission of Owl's Nest to keep our youth reading good, true and beautiful stories. Lisa lives in central Arizona with her husband and their three children. Besides talking about books as often as possible, Lisa also loves gardening and long walks.

Anna
Anna Lowe always has an itch for storytelling. At Asbury University, she received a BA in Multimedia Journalism and spent the majority of her time editing the student-run newspaper and yearbook. As a college representative for Transylvania University in Lexington, KY, she connects with high school students frequently over their love for reading. Anna is incredibly excited to be a part of Owl's Nest to work on stories her students may read one day. She can often be found sipping an iced coffee, writing poetry, working on her portfolio website, or crafting her Instagram stories.
