FAQs:
Q. Who can participate?
A. Children and adults are both welcome to participate! You can choose to complete the challenge as an individual or as a household. If you read as a household, everyone doesn’t have to read every book, but at least one family member must read each book.
Q. Do I need to read all thirteen books over the course of the summer?
A. No! Any Owl's Nest books you have previously read count toward the challenge. But we do ask that all thirteen books be completed by the end of the challenge.
Q. What counts as reading?
A. Reading aloud or being read to counts as well as individual reading. If you are completing the challenge as a household, feel free to read aloud to younger children!
Q. When do I get the prize?
A. Email us your completed reading log and we will confirm your completed challenge, get shipping info, and mail your prize pack! Details about the prize will be released over the summer.
Q. Is this challenge open internationally?
A. Although Owl's Nest books are available around the globe, due to shipping rates, we cannot ship prize packs internationally, so this is a US-only Reading Challenge.
Q. Is the prize pack the same for families and individuals?
A. When we confirm your completed challenge, we will make adjustments to the prize pack based on the number of participants in your challenge.
Q. Do we have to provide Proof of Purchase to participate in this challenge?
A. We are not requiring Proof of Purchase to participate in this Reading Challenge because we recognize that some people may share books with friends, borrow and lend, and/or use their local libraries. While we are not requiring Proof of Purchase of Owl's Nest books to participate, we do encourage everyone to remember that purchasing our books supports a small business, supports authors, and supports the arts.
