Summer Internship Application is Closed for 2023
Owl’s Nest is seeking a college intern who can help in content creation for our social media platforms. We are looking for an individual who is active on TikTok and Instagram who can create engaging content for those platforms and help build our audience. The ideal candidate is interested in learning more about the publishing industry and is passionate about and can use social media to help others learn more about our books for middle grade and teen readers.
Qualifications:
The Owl's Nest Summer Intern will get to gain important life and work experience with an independent publishing house, sales and marketing experience, and participate in writing sales copy for books and authors. These are all things that can be noted on a professional resume. If internship credit is offered at our intern's college or university, we are willing and able to fill out forms and provide documentation and references to prove that credit should be given.

Approximate Dates of Internship: June 5 - August 11 (Negotiable, depending on school cut-off dates)

Qualifications:
- Must be college student (18+ / high school grad - 4-year undergrad)
- Interested in book publishing and adolescent literature
- Motivated, Creative, and Outgoing
- A self-starter
- Active on social media (mainly TikTok & Instagram)
- Knows how to create engaging and timely content for social media:
- Can take and edit photos of books well
- Can take and edit quality video content
- Understands current trends and is comfortable engaging with them
- Takes initiative and thinks outside the box
